The Greenprint Forum has a vision for an East Suffolk where food is grown and farmed in ways that recognise the value of nature, minimise negative impacts, and maximise positive impacts on natural resources.
This event online is being organised by the East Suffolk Greenprint Forum as part of our focus on Nature First during 2021. Biodiversity and habitats are under threat from human activity and development both directly but also through course climate change driven by our activities – and this includes the ways in which we grow our food.
This event is an opportunity for you to hear about some of the positive approaches taken by organisations locally and regionally to grow quality, healthy food for our communities in ways that are sustainable and that recognise the value of nature.
The event may trigger thoughts about how we feed our people sustainably; move from a vicious circle to a virtuous circle; grow local, stock local, shop local; and accommodate nature in the process. We don’t claim to have the answers to these questions ourselves, but we do hope to use this event to share just some of the good practice that is already out there.
