Come and join us to find out about the exciting initiative to help communities take action on the climate crisis. As part of Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils Carbon Reduction Management Plan, we have teamed up with Community Energy South to provide support for the development of community led renewable energy projects to communities along the Stour River Valley.
To make this happen, we need to speak to the groups and individuals in the River Stour area that are interested or involved in renewable energy and energy advice in their local area. This will help us make sure we can provide effective support for community led renewable energy and energy advice projects to get started and to reduce the area’s carbon emissions.
This evening will provide insight into:
- An introduction into Community Energy and Community Energy South.
- How Community Energy fits within the Babergh & Mid Suffolk Carbon Reduction Management Plan
- Some successful case studies
- AND some talks from the recently established Community Energy Groups in Babergh & Mid Suffolk
- How you, your group or business can get involved and how we’ll support you
- Ask questions, meet the teams and groups already established in the community energy sector.
